Welcome

Close your eyes and you will think you have stepped on the site of Andy Griffith's Mayberry RFD.  Mortons Gap is roughly two square miles with a scant 400 houses and approximately 1,000 residents.  The Mayor and city officials do an excellent job of keeping the town spotless, safe and friendly.  The age of the residents is fairly well divided between young, middle age, and mature seniors.  The town was founded back in the 1800's.  We live for the day here, building beautiful new homes among the architecture of past times.

Mortons Gap is centrally located between Evansville, Indiana, Owensboro, Bowling Green, Nashville, Tennessee, and Paducah.  We are blessed with four distinct seasons.  Summers are packed with picnics at the park, at the City Lake or strolling the streets of town.  Winters are mild but the kids do occasionally get to use their sleds.  We have one of the lowest crime rates per population in the Commonwealth.  We have a number of churches in town so you can practice your faith or catch a church social.  Excellent schools are located within two miles.  Fishing, deer hunting, turkey hunting, four-wheeling and golf are all just minutes away from downtown.
